Question: How can I move between form fields using the keyboard?
Answer: One thing that all computer users do frequently is fill in forms; we do it while configuring a program, ordering something on the internet, and even while sending EMail. Having to use the mouse to click in each field can get tedious, especially if you do it often. Fortunately, in most programs written for Windows, MacOS, and Linux - and most web-based forms - you can switch to the next field to another by pressing the Tab key.
This handy keyboard shortcut can also be put "in reverse," in case you need to change something that you typed in an earlier field. By holding down the Shift key while you press tab, you can move the insertion point (the blinking line that indicates where letters will appear when you type) to the previous field. These two shortcuts can save you a lot of going back-and-forth between the keyboard and the mouse.
