Question: How can I save ISO files with Nero Express? Answer: Nero Express, a CD burning program that comes with many burners, is configured to only allows you to save CD images as NRG files by default. Not many programs other than Nero can read NRG files, but fortunately it is possible to get the Nero Image Recorder to save ISO files.
When Nero Express starts, click on the More button at the bottom of the window, then click on the Configure button that appears in the bottom left. The Preferences window should appear; click on the tab titled "Expert Features." In the Expert Features tab, find the words "Enable all supported recorder formats for the Image Recorder" and click the check box to the left of it to check it. Click the OK button when you are done. Now, when saving a file created with the Image Recorder, click on the "Save As" drop down list and you will have the option to choose between NRG and ISO.
