Burn CDs in Windows Explorer

Question: How can I burn CDs from the My Computer window? Answer: Windows XP includes built-in support for most brands of CD burners and allows you to copy files to a blank CDR/CDRW the same way as you would copy files to a diskette. When you insert a writable CD in your burner, Windows will pop up a message giving you various options - click "Open writable CD Folder" and then click the OK button.

Once you have the writable CD folder open, you can add files to the list to burned by dragging-and-dropping them into it from your Desktop, My Documents, or another folder. Once you are finished, click on the words "Burn these files to CD" on the left hand side. You will then be given the opportunity to name the CD; click next when you are done and the CD will be burned.
